You’ve heard the rumors: Some of rock ‘n’ roll’s greatest tones were achieved without pedals. Not so fast! While that’s technically true, some of the most venerable guitar gods relied on an old tape echo unit to help achieve their legendary tones. This unit is the Maestro Echoplex EP-3. While some guitarists made great use of its echo effect, others dragged one to every gig just for its magical preamp. This preamp circuit was wired always-on, and so even those using it as an echo effect received significant tonal enhancements from the preamp circuit as well. Everyone from Eddie Van Halen to East Bay Ray of the Dead Kennedys relied on the EP-3 preamp to take their sound to previously unreachable heights. And now you can also, with our Epoch Boost.Around the shop, we refer to the Epoch Boost as a “mastering pedal,” because it sounds like your base tone, but sculpted to perfection by a mastering engineer. This is accomplished by employing the same internal circuitry as a real EP-3, from the NOS Orange Drop capacitors to the output mixer stage that acts as a rudimentary frequency selector---it’s all there. We’ve taken the liberty of kicking the internal voltage all the way up to 22 volts, just like the original unit, giving you unparalleled headroom and clarity. Inside, we’ve included a switchable hi-Z input buffer if you’d like to use the Epoch Boost as your only pedal (don’t worry, we won’t judge). The Boost control gives you just the EP-3 tone when rolled off, but adds up to 20dB of crystal-clear boost as you crank it. And trust us, you’re gonna want to.

This matcha set feels like good value for the price and works well for making matcha at home. The quality is solid and everything feels durable enough for regular use. The color is really pretty and the design is simple but cute. All the pieces do what they’re supposed to and fit together nicely. It’s a nice set if you want something functional that also looks good.

Description very off, and only 7 pieces no matter how you count it, NO TEAPOT AS LISTED

Very disappointed, I ordered this set at this price ($36.89) BECAUSE it clearly lists a teapot included. “COMPLETE 8-PIECE MATCHA CEREMONY SET:** Includes essential tools: Kyusu teapot (with spout), 1 matcha bowls (chawan), bamboo whisk (chasen),2 bamboo scoop , matcha sifter (furui), and stylish black storage box. Everything needed for authentic matcha preparation. “ Their description.
While there ARE only SEVEN pieces, here's the list I made from my set:
1. small cloth 'mat' to set pieces on
2. Chawan ceramic bowl
3. ceramic holder for the whisk
4. bamboo Chasen whisk
5. small bamboo tea powder scoop
6. small bamboo spoon
7. small, cup size, colander or 'sifter' for the matcha powder
It comes in a cardboard box with instructions on how to prepare tea printed on the back, and shipping label stuck to the side. Certainly NOT an ' Elegant Black Gift Box “.
Again, there is NO “ Kyusu teapot (with spout) “ included. And if the chopstick rest in the pictures was meant to be a substitute for the teapot, it's a very poor one. Plus, I didn't get either, no chopstick rest (not mentioned in description) and no teapot. No matter how you count it, it's NOT an '8 piece set”. Hugely disappointing.
The ceramics are nice quality, unmarked works. They are well decorated with the 'speckles', and all edges are smoothly done. Price too high for not being as described.

Great set for a good price.
I bought this set a while back and still use it several times a week. Whisk is well built and provides the functionality the process needs. Just have to control the pressure you apply while whisking to make sure the arms won't brake.
